Acoustic and weather louvres

The air intake towards a room can proceed in many ways, the use of air louvres however, is one of the most common ways. Alara-Lukagro produces many different types of louvres, both with and without acoustic properties.

Acoustic louvres type AL-R

Alara-Lukagro acoustic louvres type AL-R offer a solution where sound attenuating demands for weather resistant louvres apply. As a standard, the air louvres are produced out of galvanised steel sheet, supplied with all round mounting flange, bird gaurd and raised water protection lip.

Underneath the blades high quality mineral wool is applied, fire-resistant according to DIN 4102 class 2, non hygroscopic, protected by a fibre glass scrim and perforated steel sheet. The sturdy bird guard is mounted between the blades, offering a smooth surface without extending parts on the out- as well as the inside. More over, it offers the air louvres an extra sharp look.

To prevent (rain)water from entering the building or duct with the air flow, a raised water protection lip is integrated, offering rain repellency up to gross air speeds of approx. 2,5 m/s.

Dimensions

Acoustic louvres are available in almost any size. Up to W x H = 2.450 x 2.850 mm the louvres are produced in one piece. Larger louvres are supplied in parts. louvres can be applied for many different applications:

ventilation openings in technical rooms, buildings, factories and ships
cooling towers, air cooled condensor units
parking garages
enclosures, containers
generator rooms
